Join us at the BookNet offices in downtown Toronto for a full day of ONIX training with Chris Saynor, Standards Editor at EDItEUR, the international organization that coordinates development of the ONIX for Books standard. A basic understanding of ONIX for Books is recommended to get the full benefit of this participatory seminar. Topics covered will include:
  • the importance of identifiers (including an introduction to ISNI); 
  • describing ebooks in ONIX (including describing accessibility ); 
  • describing audiobooks in ONIX; 
  • describing Territories in ONIX (including sales rights, markets, and supply detail); 
  • describing pricing in ONIX 3.0; 
  • Thema and ONIX; 
  • validating an ONIX 3.0 file with the xsd and strict sad schemas; and,
  • an overview of changes between ONIX 2.1 to ONIX 3.0. 
Materials will be provided to attendees closer to the date.
